There’s no shortage of ways to tackle Disneyland, but Single Rider has always been one of my favorite tricks for squeezing in a few extra attractions.

On a random Tuesday this summer, I decided to put every Disneyland Single Rider option to the test and see how much time it actually saves. Armed with a game plan and a willingness to ride solo, I worked my way across the park while tracking both the posted standby waits and my real wait times.

Of course, no plan unfolds perfectly. Matterhorn went down for a bit early in the day, forcing me to shuffle my route around and come back later. It was also an especially busy day for Single Rider queues. After I rode Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the Single Rider entrance temporarily closed because the line had filled up, and when I arrived at Indiana Jones, that queue was at capacity as well. Thankfully, it reopened after a short wait.

So while these times are a great reference point, remember that Single Rider availability and even the queues themselves can change throughout the day.

As a reminder: Single Rider availability isn’t guaranteed and can change throughout the day, and I did for me on this trip so make suer to always check with a Cast Member. And while it’s a great way to save time, it’s not a shortcut for groups you’ll most likely be split up and seated separately.
